It seems on any day where I am awoken to the limited sun shining through my terribly positioned bedroom windows, my subconscious reaches for Stila's shadow in Kitten. Maybe an attempt to brighten up somewhat - they do say the eyes are the windows to the soul, now don't they? I guess here's why my stupidly, west-facing windows, not so conveniently built onlooking some not so beautiful greenery aren't ruining my warm-weather induced, early morning chirpiness.
This time every year, when all the Autumn cosmetic collections make their way to my attention and I begin to feel I've foregone summer before it has even arrived, the cream blush and champagne hues come cracking out. This time around I've configured the perfect eye look which has been my go to for the last month and I'm predicting the next few to come. It's quick and easy, and is perfectly fitting for the abnormally brilliant weather we've been graced with.
Starts with a bit of NARS Pro Prime, as always, topped with a hefty layer of Stila Kitten - I think this is one of their most popular products and for good reason, it is smooth and blends like no other. The shade isn't too light but still brightens up the eyes amazingly. I go in with a touch of Urban Decay's shadow in Nooner on a blending brush through the crease. It's the matte, slightly rosy neutral on the right of the centre gold in the palette and it is perfection matched with Kitten. A bit of liner never goes amiss, and regular readers know the Rimmel Waterproof Gel Liner is my favourite - not trying to get ahead of myself here, but I think I may be able to pull off the winged liner malarky now, so, accomplishments no matter how small are still accomplishments. Right?
